So how’s it going with two kids? Sometimes like this:
And sometimes like this:
Taking care of both kids by myself is more like making sure that we’re all alive at the end of the day. I’m not really sure how parents of multiples get anything productive done or keep their houses clean. My main life goal has changed — to someday be able to afford a maid.
Davis has been such a sweet little boy. He does his best to be patient and is still so sweet and gentle with Baby Sister Bwair. He loves rubbing her head and holding her hand. He also loves looking at her and saying “You’re a wittle BAYby”.
My absolute favorite thing that he’s doing right now is telling stories. He could talk to someone for an hour straight without the slightest bit of feedback. You can try to join in the conversation or ask questions, but good luck with that. Here is a little video of him talking to Bald Pop when we were trying to leave. This is a small fraction of the conversation he had with him. He’s talking about catching butterflies, jumping on the bed, making a flower, seeing the trees, superheroes…really anything that he can think of.
He’s saying so many cute things lately. He started randomly saying “yis” instead of yes. Anytime that he has new clothes, pajamas or a costume on, he walks in the room and throws his arms in the air and says “Hi-da!!!!” Kind of like “Ta Da” but he basically wants you to recognize how “totawee cool” he looks. He now calls the process of nursing “getting boo boos”. He adds an “ed” to a lot of words like “it broke-ed”. If we can tell he’s sick and we ask him what’s wrong, 9 times out of 10 he will tell you his feet hurt instead of what’s actually wrong. He loves to read books himself but he reads them right page first, then left. He’s still completely, totally, absolutely obssessed with pajamas. He wants to wear them at all times and his favorite activity is looking at pajamas online with me. My baby boy will be 3 years old in 2 weeks!!!
Did I say in my last post that Blair was a “calm baby”? Hahahahahahaha. Let me clarify. Blair is a calm baby if a) she’s being nursed b) she’s on my boob, not nursing c) she’s being held or d) she’s sleeping while being held. Thank you Lord (and Mimi) for the Moby wrap. She’s only happy in the car if she’s completley full, has a dry diaper, and the car is MOVING. She’s starting to smile and is awake a little more. She’s so pretty and loves pooping on her outfits. She starts daycare this week. I don’t want to talk about it.
