I started this blog last night after D went to bed and the first sentence said “I’m happy to announce that we are all healthy at the moment”. 15 minutes later, Davis woke up crying with a 102 fever….hahaha. He appears to have another stomach virus but has been the happiest sick boy I’ve ever seen today.
Also, Davis does not cry when we go to day care anymore! And even better news…we have finally come up on the long-awaited list for Rainbow Bible School. He starts his fall semester in 3 weeks and we CAN’T WAIT.
Davis has been so sweet and so happy lately. Laughing, kissing, hugging. And lots of subtle dancing in the car.
Here is Davis trying really hard to share the medicine bottle with his mama. Or his “mum” as he’s been calling me lately.
Here he is showing you a very cute body part.
He’s still learning a lot of new words. Somehow “no” has only just now made its appearance in his vocabulary. He likes to walk around doing things he knows he’s not supposed to do while he says “no” and shakes his head. Another new one is cracker which he unfortunately pronounces as “cock”.
One of his favorite games right now is bouncing on my stomach. It hurts really bad but he loves it so much. And I figure it’s a good ab workout for me from the flinching of my muscles and/or the laughing.
And last but not least, we have a new breed of basil growing in the front yard if anyone is interested. I call it….cigarette basil. This pot has been sitting by the porch since we moved in and the previous owners were apparently smokers that liked to put their old cigs in the pot. Somehow, a lovely basil stalk has grown through it. I’ve never even watered it.
