headbands and new tricks

March 15, 2013 by thegreatwideopenblog

Come to find out, Davis loves headbands. I see baby girls always trying to yank their adorable little headbands and bows off almost as soon as their mommies put them on.

As for me and my little pumpkin head? We will serve the headband! Sometimes I work out and have to use these big headbands to pull back my bangs and stray hairs. “Sometimes” is a pretty loose term. Anyways…he’s never seemed interested in them until this week. He picked one up and put it right on his head like he had done it every day for the last 11 months. He kind of smiled at me and then went right back to playing. He’s been doing this ever since. He will even find a tiny hair tie or bracelet and grunt trying to stretch those things over his head. I think he’s going to be a trendsetter.

We are in a pretty serious peek-a-boo phase right now. He especially loves to do it when he’s in his high chair looking under the table. How could you deny that face of anything? Dan spends half of his dinner time under that table.

Here’s a little video of some walking. I never catch the best ones on camera.

We would like to sign off with D’s newest phrase:
