27 has been crazy so far. By crazy I mean mostly awful. The day after my birthday, I came down with some sort of stomach virus and threw up several times an hour between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. I spent Friday trying to recover from that despite an achey, weak body and a massive headache in addition to trying to clean the house to keep the germs from Davis and Dan. My efforts failed us. Davis was hard to get to sleep Friday night…he kept squirming around. He slept for 2 hours and woke up crying (nothing unusual for him, haha). When I reached down to pick him up, he threw up projectile-style all over both of us. Repeat that times 3. Is it totally pathetic to say that this was the most traumatic moment of my life so far?? I knew he would be fine eventually but there is nothing worse than watching your child suffer like that!! He was so sweet and soooo sad. I did a lot of helpful things like crying and asking Daniel ridiculous questions that he could never know the answer to. It was a long night but we survived it.
Saturday wasn’t our best day with both of us still not feeling great. I spent most of the day bleaching the house dowwwwwn and washing D’s toys.
I was expecting Sunday to be another pitiful day of recovery. It turned out to be one of the best days ever. Davis had a 2 hour nap (whoa!) and woke up in a really good mood so we thought we would get him out of the house and to the park. It was the most beautiful day.
A little later, we stopped by a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin for our porch. Look at our little punkin’ head!
We also put up groceries. Nobody puts up groceries while looking this cute.
And worked on the truck with Daddy.
